Field Marketing/Business Development Manager

Job Description: 

Position Summary:

To accelerate bookings growth where significant geographic, customer, and or partner opportunities exist


Leads the development, localization, implementation and evaluation field based lead generation activities including trade shows, local events to support sales initiatives, and general partner engagement. Builds and executes on plans to maximize growth consistent with corporate sales strategy

  • Identifies appropriate events and presence requirements
  • Develops the Field Marketing strategy and plan in alignment with sales.
  • Identifies, implements, and executes relevant events and sponsorships; Establishes relevant partnerships that will improve the overall market plan
  • Develop targeted account based marketing plans
  • Partners with sales team to educate, plan, execute and evaluate field plans
  • Serves as a critical resource for competitive insights to be expedited to Sales Leadership


  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree a +
  • 3-5 years of Business Development and Field Marketing experience
  • Experience Selling Hybrid Prod/Service Offerings, Open Source Services or Technology Enabled Services
  • Reading the System – demonstrated experience interpreting/navigating/covering prospect organizational hierarchy and politics which lead to getting a non-oppty converted & closed, increased deal size or substantial upsell/cross-sell opportunity
  • Successful track record in a high revenue low transaction volume sales environment
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills to communicate effectively with multiple senior management and C-level contacts
  • Must be able to thrive and adapt to change in a very fast paced environment
  • Strong computer skills, including and Microsoft Office
  • Proactive territory management and prospecting
  • Excellent follow up skills and professionalism
  • High energy and a positive attitude
