Position Summary smartShift Technologies is looking for a Sales Manager to join our India team.


  • Identify new prospects to approach, communicate the specific value proposition for their business
  • Build a strong sales pipeline for region & maintain the same in the salesforce system
  • Contribute to the growth of the company by achieving sales booking/revenue targets for India
  • Develop powerful proposals & deliver strategic sales presentations
  • Coordinate with other technical team members to manage opportunities and get them to closure
  • Develop & strengthen relationships with stakeholders & decision makers in the customer organization & drive penetration in various functions
  • Develop strong relationships with Amazon, Microsoft, SAP and other regional partner groups
  • Lead proposal development, pricing, negotiation & commercial terms (MSA, SOW’s etc.)
  • Maintain accurate information on the salesforce portal & provide regular reports/ updates on pipeline, deals to senior management
  • Maintain smartShift business knowledge in order to sell to potential clients in the region
  • Use market knowledge to identify & develop the company’s unique selling proposition
  • Travel to client location on a need basis to win business
  • Build relationships with existing clients in the region to win additional business from them
  • Be the brand ambassador in the region; Represent organization in networking events/conferences


  • Experience in selling cloud based solutions including Cloud Transformation projects & Cloud Managed Services contracts
  • Proven record of success achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Must be a confident & assertive professional, capable of influencing customer stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate with customers and close deals
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Ability to develop & maintain good relations with customers and employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; should be able to influence customer stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of the IT industry; Strong knowledge of cloud technology
  • Eagerness to learn new technology/new concepts
  • Possesses an analytical ability; Ready to thrive in challenging situations and eager to solve problems
  • Ability to work in a team while working with minimal supervision
  • Recent 2+ years selling SAP migration/transformation cloud deals in India


  • 8+ years of software industry experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in direct selling of software services
