Job Description

smartShift Technologies is looking for an Team Lead – Finance to join our team in India.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the local statutory accounts of India entity in accordance with the relevant GAAP
  • Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial accounting / reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment.
  • The job holder will require detailed knowledge of IFRS/ IGAAP and general disclosure principles under GAAP. This is against a backdrop of an increasingly changing economic and regulatory environment.
  • The jobholder will need to liaison with external parties for information ( such as Actuarial, Auditors, Company Secretary etc)
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points.
  • Monthly closure of accounts for management reporting
  • Actively engage in India and group audits.
  • Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual intervention
  • Working across departments to ensure we provide a consistent, joined- up view to the business partners
  • Should be able to coordinate with other functional teams for preparing management reports
  • Knowledge on Revenue recognition under ASC 985-605 / IFRS / India GAAP
Skills & Experience
  • 3 plus years’ experience working in similar roles
  • Should have dealt with multi-currency reporting
  • Experience in intercompany transactions and settlement accounting
Qualification
  • Qualified C.A. / C.A Inter with 3+ years of experience
